Well, we had our long awaited doctors appointment today after the long awaited insurance coverage! It went great! It was so nice for us to be able to ask all the questions we've had for these past weeks. We didn't get to have an ultrasound though. The doctor knows that insurance companies only allow for a certain number of ultrasounds and we didn't want to waste ours too early and not be able to see the gender for sure. So we're waiting until the 20 week mark when we can tell for sure! We did get to hear the heartbeat and hear the little wiggles around in there. She made a comment about how active the baby is already. The baby didn't want the doctor to put the Doppler on it. He'd run away and squirm off so fast she couldn't barely count the heart beat! I was just thinking "Oh lord please spare me from a hyper baby like I was and Gabriel was" HAha, but I think we know what to expect! :-) We had another traumatic experience with the blood draw. Its just never a good thing with me! I am not scared of needles, its just that I HAVE NO VEINS! I was poked twice in the doctors office, and not just poked, but the needle was in and she wiggled and prodded in there with no luck! So I started feeling light headed and dizzy, then I of course, lost my lunch.... I guess that's just what I do. So they then gave up on looking, with not a drop of blood in the vile, and sent me to the hospitals laboratory. There the fun was not over! The person who draws blood all day couldn't even find a vein! She tried twice on my right arm and twice on my left and FINALLY found a vein that was giving blood. So I of course got light headed and dizzy again... and you know whats next... man! But its over! I'm so glad!!
So overall, the baby is healthy and so am I. Everything is perfect and the doctor is proud of how I've been taking care of myself. So that makes us happy!
We want to wish everyone a happy thanksgiving! We love thanksgiving and this year we have SO much to be thankful for! God has been good and will continue to be good. We love you all and wish we could all be together for the holidays, but you are in our hearts.
