Gabriel's news at 13 months

Hello everyone! Well, this past month or two has been very exciting! Gabriel has been VERY busy!

He can walk now! On Wednesday the 25th, we were in line buying a video camera so we wouldn't miss his first steps when he just got up and WALKED away! Needless to say, we missed the first steps on film. But he's walking! I'll upload a video as soon as I get a good one. He won't walk at home, only in open spaces, so he won't do it here in our narrow row house. We're working on it though!

He is officially weaned, as of yesterday, he's only drinking from sippy cups and regular cups, he seems to enjoy that very much! (And so does mommy!)

He has a new cousin! April gave birth to precious Blake Austin Teerman and Gabriel just loves him!

He is going to be a big brother for anyone who doesn't know! His littl sibling will be born around December 10th! Right after his other cousin who will arrive in the months before that!

Gabriel also says lots of words! All in spanish. His favorite word is "Avion" which means airplane. He says it sounding like "abbiiaaao" We live very close to the Troutdale airport, so he hears and sees them all day long. He also says "agua" which means water. He says it sounding like "aba" But maybe he's praying to Abba Father? Haha. He says mama and dada, and baby in regards to the baby in mommy's tummy. He is always talking about his cousin Bellah and he calls her "lela".

He's a very happy baby! He is still on the smaller side weighing 22lbs and being 29 inches tall. But he's healthy and loves his life! God is so good to him!

We've attatched a video of his little sibling's ultrasound at 12 weeks which we got done yesterday. And also a video of Gabriel doing his favorite thing, playing drums! Just like his daddy.

Gabriel on the slide!

Here we are after our walk into old town Troutdale this morning. We stopped by the park on the way back, and Gabriel had a blast on the slide! He goes all by himself and even knows to push himself off to go fast! The only bad part about the slide, was when we had to say bye-bye for nap time. Poor little guy didn't like that part.

Long awaited update!

Hello everyone! We are so sorry for not updating in so long!! I've gotten into a habit of updatig on Facebook, but neglecting those of you who only follow on the blog! So, here are a few photos of Gabriel in the past few months! He will be 9 months old on Friday! And he just got his first tooth on Saturday the 9th of December. He's suffering now with the discomfort, but he's doing well! He's 100% healthy and 100% happy! Still nursing GREAT and eating his solids GREAT! Sleeps from 8:30pm all the way until 8 am! He's an incredible blessing in our lives and we're happy to share his progress with you! Enjoy the photos!

Towell time

These pictures are just too cute to resist! Gabriel tends to cry when we take him out of the bathtub, but this time, he was happy and all cuddled up in his towell. So cute!

Gabriel's visit with his cousins

My sister April and her precious kids Mayson and Lane came to visit Gabriel and me on Thursday. We had such a nice time! April brought my a yummy starbucks and Mayson and Lane played with their baby cousin! They had a great time. Lane absolutely adores Gabriel. He always comes and just rests his cheek to Gabriel's cheek and tells him he loves him. I just love it! Its precious! So here are a few photos of the fun!

Gabriel's visit with Yia Yia and Rick

This weekend my mom and Rick are in town to visit. They came over for lunch with Gabriel and I yesterday and we had a nice time. My mom lives in Idaho now, so its great anychance we get to be together! Gabriel loves them both!

Good Morning!

Gabriel just wanted to say Good morning to everyone! He is 3 months and 1 day old!

We are sorry for not posting very much! Our computer is broken and we only have a little Dell Mini computer, and its sooo teenie that it makes everything rather hard to post and upload. But this is a little tase of what is to come when we get our computer fixed! We have SOOO many photos to upload. We are taking plenty, just not able to post yet. We also got professional family portraits done and they are lovely! So stay tuned for more!

Gabriel is WONDERFUL and growing strong and healthy. We are so thankful to have a healthy strong baby. We never take for granted for one moment the blessing it is to have a life to raise.

Our prayers are with our precious little neice/cousin Leah and her family. Our love for all of them! God is good forever and ever!

Big news!

Gabriel slept for 7 hours straight last night! We're so proud! And SO happy! He's been in his crib in his own room since week 4. But he was waking up at 2 and 5 am to eat. Last night he slept for 7 hours straight and then went back to sleep for more so we could sleep in a little more! It was such a blessing! We're using the Babywise technique and we absolutely love it. He's really doing well on getting a routine. He still needs to take longer naps, he's only napping for like 45 minutes... they should be more like 1 hour and a half... so we're praying. But we're so glad to get 7 hours of sleep last night in a row for the first time since Gabriel was born! YAY!

Bubble baby and beach trip!

We went to the beach this weekend with our friends Sam and Jennifer. Sam is the bassist in our band, he's also from Guatemala and his wife is also American. We had a super time! This is Gabriel's super cute shirt just for our day in Seaside. It was a blast. He really liked it... cant you tell?

Gabriel loves to get his face washed! He always just sits so still and smiles and laughs and starts to fall asleep whenever I was it. So I took a couple pictures of how cute he is with his bubbles on his face.

He's really starting to smile even more. When we talk to him or show him a toy, he smiles big! We love it. He's responding to much to our voices and to music. We have a little musician on our hands! YAY!

The adventures of Gabriel

Isnt he getting big? We cant believe he's 5 weeks old! It's just amazing!

In these pictures, Gabriel got to try his first french fry .. JUST KIDDING! He'll never eat those awful things, but Rick thought it would be funny to pretend! :-)

We had Uncle G.B's birthday party last night and Gabriel got to see his cousins Mayson and Lane. Lane absolutely loves Gabriel! He hugs him and kisses him and just always gives him "loves". It's so much fun! The other pictures are of Gabriel when he was supposed to be taking his nap, but he thought it was play time instead!

The first pictures are of Gabriel's new outfit, its his Rocker outfit. It has cute little music notes and things on it. We have band practice tonight, so he's going to show up in style!

Gabriel's Dedication!

We dedicated Gabriel to the Lord this Sunday, on mother's day! It was wonderful, such a blessing. It was a beautiful service! Afterwards we all went to the Nunez house for a big BBQ! It was so fun! We had grandpa's flank steak and plenty of carne asada, and of course my mom's Greek pasta salad, and dad's baked beans, and grandma's devilled eggs! YUM! We had a blast with the whole family from both sides! What a blessing it was! Here are just a few pictures of the dedication. There are more to come, but they are being put onto a CD for me from the person who took pictures on Sunday. So here's what we have so far! The video is to come too!

Its may already! Gabriel is 3 weeks old!

This is the new blanket that my Grandpa Gary made me on his loom. Isn't it cool?

We cant believe Gabriel is already 3 weeks old! He's growing so much! He went to the doctor on Monday and he weighs 8lbs 8oz! He gained almost 2 lbs in just over 2 weeks. I guess we know he's eating well and I have nothing to worry about with breastfeeding! Such a blessing! Here's some great pictures of his growth so far!

Gabriel's First play date!

Today Gabriel's friend Alejandro came over to play and to give him some clothes that don't fit him anymore. Alejandro was born only one week before Gabriel, yet he weighs around 12lbs, and Gabriel is around 7! See the size difference? Its so funny! Alejandro is the son of our friends from church. His older sister was one of the flower girls in our wedding. We had fun, and we cant wait for more play dates! Well... we're calling it more of a sleep date. I don't think they even noticed each other! haha

Two weeks old!

Gabriel is 2 weeks old today! We cant believe how fast the time has gone by! And at the same time, it feels like he's been here for a lifetime. We are loving every moment of these past 2 weeks, and cant believe how it just gets better every single day! He's such a blessing to our lives.

Remember this outfit from his coming home pictures? Well, as you can see, he's no longer swimming in it. He's FINALLY fitting into newborn sizes. He's graduated from preemie sizes! I got a little sad when he fit into this outfit this morning. I cant believe that time goes so fast already!! He's grown so much and he's only 2 weeks. Its amazing!

We now have a working camera!

Well, after battling with our brand new, wonderful Kodak camera for a long time. We threw in the towel! It just doesn't work. So thank God for Flor! She's letting us use her old camera until we get a new one. So from today on, we'll have new pictures every day! YAY! I took a bunch of pictures on my cell phone, and we took a bunch of videos for memories. So don't worry, we still captured Gabriel's first days. But now it will be easier to put them online for everyone!
